Ice break
We woke up this morning and the river was still not broken. About 7:30 the ice began moving. We went from ice across the river to clear open water. The river is steady rising, there is an ice jam in front of camp, and areas that haven’t seen water in months are covered. It’s crazy that the temperature and river have changed so much this week.
The guys fly out in stages beginning in about 30 mins. We had an affirmation time last night and it was nice to hear the encouragement in the group. This morning’s devotion, Roger challenged everyone to be the real deal at camp and at home. It’s easy to serve away from home but hard to be the same year around. Good challenge as the group heads home.
We will be here another week. The creek is finally clearing so fresh water will be more available and less scarce. Yay! Going to walk up to the runway to see the guys off. Pray for their safe travel.
