David and I were in Perry yesterday trying to find my dad’s office. I’ve been there several times, I just couldn’t remember which road it was on. After 9 wrong turns and 4 or 5 “this has to be it”s, we finally made it. I was definitely having a blonde kind of day.

It’s the kind of day where I laughingly accuse David of changing all of the light switches while I was sleeping because there’s just no way after 7 years in our house that I should still get them confused! On these days, I have a hard time judging distance. I run into door frames and wrongly discern the height and width of cabinet doors (which always leaves a big lump on my head). I start something and then forget what I was in the middle of doing. I can’t find everyday items because I don’t remember where I put them. It’s like my head is in the clouds and my brain has taken a break for the day!

I’m so glad that God doesn’t have blonde moments! I’m thankful he knows me inside out and upside down. He never forgets where he has put me or what switches cause certain things in my life. Everything is under his control. He’s not going to get me lost in his leading (although sometimes he does take the scenic route). And even when I don’t understand, I can trust that he’ll walk with me all the way through.

I might have blonde moments every now and then-but thank goodness God doesn’t!
